Muay Thai

At SitJaiYai we teach authentic Muay Thai — the art of eight limbs — in a gym that’s serious about training but welcoming to everyone. Our Worcester classes cover technique, padwork, conditioning, and recovery, giving you a complete martial arts education in one place.

We’re not a drop-in fitness class. We’re a community. Expect coaches who know your name, training partners who push you forward, and a programme that actually gets you better.

Founded by a fighter. Built for everyone.

Mitch Oakes, founder of SitJaiYai, making his ring entrance at a Muay Thai fight night

Mitch Oakes is the founder and head coach of SitJaiYai — Worcester's dedicated Muay Thai gym. Mitch has been training Muay Thai for over five years, competing at a high level and spending time training in Thailand, where he developed a deep respect for the discipline and tradition behind the sport. That experience is what drives how SitJaiYai is run. Classes are built around authentic technique — not watered-down fitness content — with a coaching style that meets every student where they are, whether that's their first session or their fiftieth. Mitch founded SitJaiYai to give Worcester a proper Muay Thai home. A place where the sport is taught the right way, and everyone who walks through the door is taken seriously.
